Why so many manufacturers took aggressive pose at tablets but they took no actions until 2011? iPad’s success has made them understand what customer needs from a tablet, and then they have their own tablets made. However, they were very careful when they launch their tablets products, and they’ve been trying to find a shortcut for the break through in the market. This is really an interesting and rare scene. After all, it’s all because the huge competitive advantage the iPad has, and apple is so mature and veteran.
I analyzed iPad competitive advantage. Many people would neglect that iPad is the Apple’s first autonomy CPU, which means Apple has built a stronghold on CPU, end system and software.  Let’s put it in this way, even iPad2 starts from $499, Apple still can make at least 20% profit, and if its competitors lower their price, they hardly make any at all. Additionally, Apple has added 300,000 apps into its store, it had put additional value at the very beginning. Which makes Apple lead the run for 2 years at the beginning.  Apple has huge advantage on eco-industry chain.
It’s not that iPad is unbeatable, we all know, tablets market is pretty similar as smartphone’s market: Apple, RIM and Microsoft develop their own operation system, other manufacturers only produce their own products but using Android tablet system. In smartphone’s business, Apple’s dominant position has been smashed by Android phones. And now, all PC manufacturers have been expecting significant change by Google upgrade its operation system. Especially on tablets business, those manufacturers expect they could win the war with Apple by using android new system ‘honeycomb’.
Will the new operation system be the key element of the tablets battle? Actually, this so-called key elements we can named a lot more such as appearance design, hardware configuration, or a more competitive price? Every one who is in this game they can name a lot of elements that they think is the key to the success, but is there a shortcut to success among these elements? Which are second important and which elements are not supposed to exaggerate? Electronics Wholesaler
From IDC, in year 2011, sales volume of tablets will be around 42 million, therefore, they have did a survey among 1500 people, the question was: ‘what do you think is the key elements that tablets could be successful?’ interesting thing is, standing on different positions, they gave completely different answers which is worth for us to think about.
